Improved Services at Drayton Surgery
A Planning Application has been submitted to Broadland District Council to extend the premises at Drayton Surgery. If planning is approved it is our intention to apply to run a Community Pharmacy from the extended premises. This Pharmacy would be open every day from early until late (including Sundays and Bank Holidays). We believe that this will improve access to Pharmacy services for the residents of Drayton and the surrounding villages and our patients who normally attend St Faiths Surgery.
The improved access to services will benefit our patients and the local community in the following ways:
- All our patients will be able to pick up their medication at the Surgery after seeing the Doctor or Nurse
- Our Patients will not have to re-park in Drayton Village thus reducing Car movements and carbon emissions
- Our Patients will be able to pick up medication and get Pharmacy advice even when the surgery is closed
- The range of services available will include:
- Advice about minor illness (Bugs & Viruses, Minor Injuries, tummy troubles, women's health, skin conditions, allergies, aches & pains and children's troubles)
- Purchase of OTC (over the Counter) remedies
- Smoking cessation advice and products
- Emergency Contraception
- Pregnancy testing
- Screening for diabetes and hypertension
- Home delivery service
We need our patients' views and support for developing this service. We are running a Patient Survey and we would be grateful if could complete one of our forms which are available at both surgeries. Alternatively you can write to Rachel Arkieson our Practice Manager at the surgery or email us with your comments to help us to secure this new service for the local community.
Thank you for your giving us your views - they are important to us.
